Newcastle will host Liverpool in Week 3 of the 2023/2024 Premier League. The Newcastle vs Liverpool match at St James' Park will kick-off Sunday, 27 August 2023, at 22:30 WIB, live on SCTV and Champions TV 5, and live streaming on Vidio.
Newcastle have won once and once lost. Meanwhile, Liverpool have so far remained untouched by defeat.
In the opening week, Newcastle won 5-1 to host Aston Villa. Two new Newcastle players, Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes, immediately scored one goal each. Three other goals were created by Alexander Isak (2) and Callum Wilson. However, the Magpies then lost 0-1 to reigning champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Meanwhile, Luis Diaz's goal gave Liverpool a 1-1 draw at Chelsea headquarters in the first match. After that, the Reds beat Bournemouth 3-1 at Anfield.
When hosting Bournemouth, Liverpool actually conceded first in the 3rd minute. However, Liverpool were able to score three goals in return through Diaz, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota.
Liverpool lost midfielder Alexis Mac Allister who received a red card in that match. However, Liverpool finally appealed, and their appeal was granted. He could also appear when the Reds face Newcastle at St James' Park later.
